Providing a private physiotherapy service for case managers and personal injury lawyers in Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester

I am a physiotherapist with over 35 years of experience working in both the NHS and private sector and since 2015 I have been providing a private physiotherapy service for case managers and personal injury lawyers. I provide a domiciliary physiotherapy service covering Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester. The domiciliary service is ideal for clients who find it difficult or are  unable to travel to a clinic. It can also facilitate a more effective rehabilitation process as rehabilitation takes place in environments that clients need to function within such as their home, local community and workplace.  However, I also provide a clinic based service in Leeds and can offer virtual appointments.

During my time as a physiotherapist I have gained skills and knowledge in a wide variety of specialties including orthopaedics, musculoskeletal, respiratory, neurology and learning disabilities. I also take part in regular continuous professional development to ensure that I have the skills and knowledge to meet the client’s needs. This allows me to meet the rehabilitation needs of clients who have experienced both orthopaedic and neurological injuries as a result of accidents including road traffic collisions and accidents in the workplace.

I provide:

  • Rehabilitation of adults with orthopaedic injuries
  • Rehabilitation and management of adults with neurological injuries including those of a severe and complex nature
  • Rehabilitation of adults with dizziness, oculomotor dysfunctions and imbalance following trauma to vestibular organs, mild traumatic brain injury/concussion and whiplash associated disorders. This includes those presenting with persistent concussion symptoms.

I will provide comprehensive assessments and detailed reports and will use evidence based treatment approaches to give your clients the best chance of returning to their pre accident level of mobility and function. I will maintain regular and prompt communication throughout the rehabilitation process through email, phone calls and detailed progress reports.

Physiotherapy Treatment will be a combination of hands on input and a home rehabilitation programme for the client to follow in between face to face physiotherapy sessions. I also utilize local gyms as part of the rehabilitation process or can provide exercise equipment on loan at the client’s home if a gym setting is not appropriate for them.

I understand the importance of working as part of a multidisciplinary team if a client is to reach their goals and regularly work alongside other health professionals such as occupational therapists, psychologists, wheelchair therapists and orthotists both in the NHS and private sector. I am also happy to attend multidisciplinary team meetings and can also provide support for clients to medical appointments.

I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). | am also registered with The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Update Service.
